Mission
The Sweet Geeks Foundation is deeply committed to nurturing opportunities, fostering empathy, and enhancing overall well-being. Our primary focus is to actively champion youth development programs and offer vital assistance in alleviating the financial burden of cancer within the underserved communities of Southern California.
Vision
A unique foundation that is a reflection of Kevin Jones’s legacies of optimism, enthusiasm for life, and values of service by giving back to the community he loved and supported.
Background
Kevin Jones described best by his friends and family as a man who was genuine, kind, optimistic, adventurous, and as someone that always wanted to share all of the incredible experiences that life offered. What will be remembered most about Kevin’s legacy was his ability to bring people together with his generosity. Kevin was always looking to help out anyone he could and no matter how big or small the gesture he often did it quietly, never seeking credit. Many today will tell you of the ripple effect that Kevin created, inspiring those around him to pay it forward. Kevin held these values in everything he did and wanted to share these with everyone he met.
Even though Kevin Jones is no longer with us physically, we now use Kevin’s values to incorporate his spirit into the foundation to continue his impact in the world. Sweet Geeks Foundation together with Evisions, the company Kevin created over 20 years ago, will continue to generously provide the incredible experiences that Kevin cherished giving while he was alive. In the same manner that Evisions was made successful, the foundation will bring together great people and their ideas to impact the community he held dear and inspire those in need. Through the foundation, Kevin’s spirit will live on.
Corporate Social Responsibility
At Evisions, we are committed to strengthening our communities through meaningful impact. Our Corporate Social Responsibility is driven by our values, the altruistic spirit of our employees, and our shared visions for a better future.
Check out photos from our recent employee engagement, Experience Geeks Giving Day. Employees spent the day doing beautification projects at Thomas House Family Shelter, mentoring the youth with StandUp for Kids, making birthday boxes for homeless youth, and volunteering at local charities.
Foundation Grants
We focus our philanthropic engagement and grantmaking on:
Youth Development
We strongly believe in helping every young person unlock their full potential, ensuring that they have access to the necessary resources and opportunities to cultivate their talents, pursue their passions, and build a successful path for their futures. We support organizations that offer these life-changing resources to youth who might otherwise lack access to them. Organizations providing youth development services and programs, including but not limitedto after-school/enrichment programs, tutoring, mentoring, social-emotional learning, arts, steam/stem activities, literacy initiatives, girl empowerment programs, youth diversion, and services for unhoused youth, catering to individuals aged 5 to 24years old.
Cancer Relief
We have seen first-hand the hardships that come with a cancer diagnosis, and we are committed to easing the financial and emotional burden experienced by many cancer patients during treatment. The cost of cancer treatment often leaves patients struggling to meet their basic needs, and beyond that, makes it difficult for them to simply be able to relax or have fun without constant stress. To address these challenges, we offer two types of cancer relief grants: financial relief grants for those in need of assistance with their medical expenses, household bills, etc. and experience grants for those in need of an emotional pick-me-up, who would prefer a fun or relaxing escape instead.
