As Head of People & Culture Success, Susan is devoted to cooking up the ultimate cultural experience for Evisions employees. She focuses on finding the perfect combination of spices to attract and retain the most talented employees, or Evisionaries as we call them. Another key part of her role as Master Culture Chef is nurturing the culture and environment, which assists Evisionaries in realizing their full potential.
Susan’s professional foundation has 10+ years of both tactical and strategic Human Resources. Her career started with ADP, where she was helping cook up the product that many HR professionals use today. After 8 years, she was given the opportunity to work for a client and see the other side of the HR world – the front lines! It was then that her career in HR really began. She continued on to help several different companies with high growth environments whip up their talent management from scratch.
Since 2005, Susan has been drawn towards small-to-mid-size entrepreneurial companies, where you know everyone’s name and have personal interactions with everyone on a daily basis. She believes in making all employees feel like they are not just part of a company, they are part of a family. Having employees know that their voice matters and that someone is looking out for them is a crucial part of her passion for people and culture.
Susan has a PHR and SHRM-CP certification and remains active in the local HR community through her membership in various groups.
When she is not busy in the Evisions culture kitchen, Susan enjoys hiking, reading, people watching, and traveling. She also loves cooking and believes her passion for hosting and serving people has lent itself to her current role today. You can usually find her cooking a meal with her husband or taking her English Bulldog, Fatty, for walks around Portland.
